Britt A.M. is a songwriter and professional recording and touring artist based out of Prince George, BC, Canada on unceded, traditional Lheidli T’enneh territory.
Bringing a punk rock sense of urgency to her music, Britt A.M. holds a melodic, guitar-driven net for her carefully crafted lyrics to land. Britt is a force to be reckoned with onstage, and with her band brings a memorable and kinetically-charged performance to every venue they play. Channeling frenetic musicality in the likes of Built to Spill or Hole alongside vocal comparisons to Stevie Nicks and Alanis Morissette, Britt A.M. writes and performs music that leans into her love for being loud while holding space for her old friend, mellow melancholy, bringing a diverse listening experience to her audience.
Britt A.M.’s sixth studio release, AnthropoScene, will be out on October 15, 2026 and marks a new chapter in the long-time artist’s career. Her first release since 2023’s Immolation, the songs on AnthropoScene were born out of the cognitive dissonance of trying to preserve hope and curiosity during end times. A social critique that roots down in nostalgia as the world around us unravels, these songs are a stab of humanity in a sea of A.I., a love letter to a life with an expiry date, and a reflection on presence in the day-to-day, despite powerful thieves of time and attention hovering nearby at all times.
“I wanted to explore my capacity for keeping a soft heart and curious mind alongside the fear and rage that living through the collapse of ecological and social systems evokes.”, says Britt, “AnthropoScene is a commentary on maintaining not just functionality, but a connected, human experience during a time when our art, hearts, and minds are being harvested and sold back to us by wealth-hoarding psychopaths through little screens. My hope for AnthropoScene is to commiserate about these systems that are dragging us down with them and to question what’s next; how can we build up better, together, when it all falls down?”
Produced by Connor Pritchard with Britt Meierhofer, the musicianship shines on AnthropoScene with Britt A.M. being backed by the skillful playing of Nathan Kelly on lead guitar, Cal Hilde on bass and synth, and Justin Gendreau on drums.
